I can now solve the entire cube without the help of a guide! As stated earlier, the last couple of algorithms were extremely lengthy and required some memorization. When I started on this journey, I honestly wasn't sure if I was going to be able to do this. I was very frustrated in the early beginnings, but I kept working at it. That's the cool thing about genius hour. There's no giving up when you get frustrated. You must persevere in order to finish the project no matter what it takes. This project has taught me a lot about myself and showed me that I am capable of learning a difficult task by myself without any help from others. I am proud of myself for learning this skill. I hope that you experienced similar feelings after completing your project!
Very Nice Jack! I knew you could complete it without using the algorithm. Maybe for next week's GH you should do a couple time trials.
ReplyDeleteAwesome job! And thank you for the inspiration on perseverance, Jack. I don't know if I could finish this Genius Hour without it, haha! I've tried to solve some rubik's cubes numerous times, and I've never came even close to completing one. So it's cool to see that if I could just study the algorithms and keep trying, I could maybe do it! Great work!
ReplyDeleteSolving a Rubik's cube has always been something that I've wanted to learn. It's a cool trick to have. It would be cool if you would've had videos to show your improvements. Glad you liked your project!
