2.2

This week was insanely hard for Aidan and I. As you know, we are creating a highlight reel for the season, and we're supposed to have 8 weeks to do it. Last week, Coach Regan texted us and asked if we could finish a film for the upcoming end of the season awards banquet on Sunday. Pressed for time, we worked tirelessly all week to get the film done. This included watching every play of every game, which took about 5 hours between the two of us. Then, we had to add all of those plays to the program we were using. This took another 5 hours. 

Then came the frustrating part. After all that work, Aidan's computer and the program couldn't function with all the information entered into it. We went to the high school to see if we could enter it into one of those computers, but it didn't work as all the information was on Aidan's computer. We tried to use a flash drive to transfer the plays, but the program said we would have to start all over if we did. The banquet was in two days and we had nothing to show for the hours of work we put in. On top of that, I had a basketball game on Saturday in Havre, which meant I couldn't work on it all of Saturday. 

We were stuck, tired, frustrated and didn't know what to do. That's when we asked for help. We contacted Mr. Tooke who knew a way to create a highlight film on hudl. We decided that this would be our best bet as we had nothing. He explained to us how to do it, we edited our film and had it ready in time for the banquet. This took another 4 hours. We showed the film for the banquet and it was awesome! Everyone told us that we did a great job with the film and that they really enjoyed it. 

This past week I have learned a lot about Aidan and myself. We are both resilient in everything we do, and will always find a way to finish the task at hand. We also proved that we can work together on a project like this without fighting. There wasn't a single time where we blamed each other throughout the entire process, and if you know how much Aidan and I argue, you would agree that that is a tremendous feat in and of itself. 

Our goal for this next week and the future is to try to finish the previous program that we started. We want to make the film as cool as possible, which will take a lot more editing. We might need to find a new program, but regardless, we have a great foundation and will continue to grind on this project.
