This week I have focused on refining my skills and making sure that the solving is down to muscle memory. I have spent some time thinking about what my presentation will be about, and I think most of it will be focused around perseverance when frustration strikes. Anyways, I want to thank you all for following me on my Rubik's cube quest, and I hope I have inspired you to solve one in the future!

Blog 2.6 Back on Track After all of the stress and turmoil that has been fixated with this project, Aidan and I are making progress. There have been so many things that have gone wrong. From Aidan's computer crashing, to the coaches deleting our film off of hudl, this has truly been a project that we have had to persevere through. As for this week, we have been adding more interviews in between games and are continuing to add music as we see fit. At this point we are just trying to refine the video to make it as entertaining as possible. As for the future, we are going to continue to edit and add to our video. We will probably add some memorable photos at the end of the video as well. We believe that all of this will add to the memories that all of us share. We hope that all of this effort will all be worth it when we have something to look back on the season. This week was insanely hard for Aidan and I. As you know, we are creating a highlight reel for the season, and we're supposed to have 8 weeks to do it. Last week, Coach Regan texted us and asked if we could finish a film for the upcoming end of the season awards banquet on Sunday. Pressed for time, we worked tirelessly all week to get the film done. This included watching every play of every game, which took about 5 hours between the two of us. Then, we had to add all of those plays to the program we were using. This took another 5 hours.  Then came the frustrating part. After all that work, Aidan's computer and the program couldn't function with all the information entered into it. We went to the high school to see if we could enter it into one of those computers, but it didn't work as all the information was on Aidan's computer. Blog 1.1 Early Beginnings of the Rubik's Cube Saga

All my life I have viewed the Rubik's cube as the hierarchy of puzzles that would be impossible to crack.  Over this first week, I have come to the realization that this is not the case!  The videos I have found online are very descriptive and fairly easy to follow.  Sure, there were a few steps that I was unclear on, but overall, the Rubik's cube has been a fun challenge. So far, I am able to solve the first side with ease, and can get two layers on top of that.  This puts me two weeks ahead of my planning sheet!  I think this will be fine though because the last sides will be the hardest part.  Another thing I have come to find about the Rubik's cube, is that it is highly addictive.  I constantly find myself playing with it to improve on the methods I have already learned.  I can't wait to continue with my genius hour idea!
